As a resident physician looking forward to a career in research this may be a tad basic. Having said that, it does cover all the basics in statistics that you may need to know, for either critically analzing a paper for journal club or for setting the ground works for your own research. The contents are well organized into 2-3 page chapters and the graphics/equations are appropriately placed.

Excellent review of statistical concepts neede to review a medcal article. But kindle version doesnt function correctly. Gaps in text. Gets hungup an needs to be restarted. Wouldn't recommend kindle version. Print in book is small. Why i bought kindle version which essentally doesn't work.

Good book for learning to intelligently reading medical literature. Covers the most common and the lesser used statistical tests.
